Food To Go Supervisor (Maternity Cover)


We require a reliable individual to work 24hrs a week, including early mornings,days and weekends.

Job Role:
Daily duties will include:

  • To assist the Store Manager in the achievement of financial targets set by the company
  • To provide direction, support and development to ensure the Deli food objectives in line with the Brand Proposition are met and continuously improved upon. Creating a positive working environment where the colleagues are focused on the strategic priorities
  • Delivering excellence in customer service through the dellivery of an exciting and innovative food offering
  • Acting as a role model for other colleagues by demonstrating excellence in the delivery of food knowledge and standards and a commitment to the company vision and values
  • Identifying colleagues who have the potential to move forward in the business by establishing succession planning through ongoing coaching, mentoring and development.
  • Maintaining Health and Hygiene standards within department (HACCP).
  • Adhering to Health and Safety standards
  • Controlling waste within the department
  • Fostering and driving a team work ethic in all colleagues
Essential
  • At least 2 years recent experience in a busy fast food, caf, deli, food to go, hot counter environment. In a sales based environment with some experience of margin
  • Good working knowledge of all fresh food areas and an ability to support in maintaining an exceptionally high standard of operational efficiency throughout hot food/FTG operations
  • Proven experience in the areas of stock control, people skills, cost control, rota planning, HACCP implementation
  • Excellent attention to detail in food standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Desirable

  • Experience gained within a busy convenience or supermarket retailing unit
  • Further education in related discipline ie. NVQ in catering or higher
  • Fresh food operation, including bakery, delicatessen, provisions and coffee
  • Experience of a cafe or retail unit with seating area
