As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland’s most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our team as Data Products and Metadata Lead
As Data Products and Metadata Lead, you will play a key role in establishing and scaling Musgrave’s enterprise data asset, metadata, and data product capability.
You will define and implement the approaches, standards, and practices required to ensure that data is consistently defined, discoverable, and reusable across the organisation.
Working closely with business, analytics, and technology teams, you will enable the development of governed data products built on a shared data platform, supporting cross-functional insight, operational efficiency, and AI use cases.
This role reports into the Head of Data Governance, in the IT division and the role can be based in Dublin or Cork.
What you'll be doing

Establish standards for data definitions, business glossary, data lineage, and data modelling across key business domains

Partner with business, analytics, and transformation teams to define, prioritise, and develop governed data products aligned to key use cases

Enable data discovery, lineage, and transparency to improve trust and reuse across reporting, analytics, and AI teams
What we're looking for
-
Experience designing and implementing metadata, data catalogue, lineage, or master data practices in complex, cross-functional or enterprise environments

Hands-on experience working with modern data platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Purview, Databricks) and structuring data within them

Practical experience working with data (e.g. SQL, Python or similar) to explore, validate, and shape data assets

Understanding of data modelling, business definitions, data lineage, and data asset management principles
