As part of continued investment in modern data and digital capabilities, Musgrave is building a unified cloud‑based, enterprise‑scale data platform to support operational, analytical and future AI‑driven use cases. 

We are seeking a Senior Data Project Manager to support the structured delivery of data and analytics initiatives across the organisation. 

Reporting to the Project Management Lead, the role is responsible for planning, tracking and coordinating project delivery, ensuring initiatives are delivered in a controlled, transparent and well‑governed manner. 

The role focuses on delivery discipline, governance and stakeholder coordination, working alongside Technical Programme Managers, Data Architects and Engineering teams to ensure projects are executed effectively.

Work location is flexible in the republic of Ireland.  We have offices in Cork and Dublin. Work Smart hybrid work arrangement applies for this role.  Some travel to Cork will be required

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the end‑to‑end project lifecycle for data and analytics initiatives, including planning, tracking and controlling project budgets and financial performance, from initiation through to delivery and closure. 

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables. 

  • Track and report on project progress, ensuring transparency across stakeholders. 

  • Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where appropriate. 

  • Coordinate project activities across technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners. 

  • Support project scoping, planning and prioritisation activities. 

  • Ensure project governance standards, methodologies and documentation are consistently applied. 

  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops and steering updates. 

  • Manage stakeholder expectations through clear communication and structured reporting. 

  • Support change management activities to ensure successful adoption of delivered solutions. 

Success in the role will be demonstrated through well‑managed, predictable project delivery, strong stakeholder alignment, and high standards in planning, reporting and governance

What we're looking for

  • Experience delivering projects in data, technology or analytics environments. 

  • A strong background in project management methodologies (waterfall, agile or hybrid). 

  • Proven ability to manage project plans, timelines, risks and stakeholder communications. 

  • Experience coordinating delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders. 

  • Comfortable working in structured environments, applying governance and delivery standards. 

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business audiences. 

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain delivery discipline in fast‑moving. 

Desirable Experience 

  • Experience working in data, analytics or data platform environments. 

  • Exposure to agile delivery practices or hybrid delivery models. 

  • Familiarity with project portfolio or change management processes. 

Essential Skills 

  • Strong planning, organisation and time management. 

  • Structured problem solving and delivery tracking. 

  • Stakeholder communication and reporting. 

  • Risk and issue management. 

  • Attention to detail and execution discipline. 

Qualifications 

  • Third‑level qualification in IT, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. 

  • Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) desirable. 

  • Agile or delivery certifications desirable.
